Webb17 mars 2008 · RPM on the lathe seems a bit high- 600 is maybe tops. But anyhow I adjust the oilers on my ATW for 1 or 2 drips per minute- increase if the bearings start getting warm. I had a lathe made around 1900 with brass bearings. Originally they were babbit. I set mine to drip about once each 2 or 3 seconds.
